Kareena Kapoor Will Retain Last Name & Not Convert to Islam

Kareena Kapoor has clarified that she will not drop her last name after marriage, and Saif has confirmed Kareena will wed as a Hindu.
"There is no way I am dropping the Kapoor in my name," TOI reported Kareena as saying.
Saif recently told Mail Today that he does not want Kareena to convert to Islam before marrying him, even though his mother , Sharmila Tagore, converted before marrying his father, and his first wife Amrita Singh did before marrying him.
"I would never want her (Kareena) to change her religion. That is the trouble with religion really... it expects conversion. I don't buy or believe that. I think it's good that the government, too, has - unless I'm misinformed about the law amended to include it in the Special Marriage Act. If and when we do get married, no one has to change his or her religion."
Sharmila Tagore converted to Islam when she married Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and was named Ayesha Sultana Khan, later shortened to Ayesha Khan. However, as an actress she continued to use her maiden name.
Saif and Kareena are getting married on October 16 at Saif's ancestral home in Pataudi.
Kareena will wear Sharmila's sharara, which Sharmila refers to as 'jod,' contrary to reports to that she will wear a more modern dress, Sharmila says, "She (Kareena) will wear my joda as it is. Nothing is being contemporarised."
