| Salman Khan Health Condition |
Salman Khan's neurological disorder is not allowing him to do even mildest of action stunts in his upcoming films. Ironically, the lineup of all his films is action oriented.
Arbaaz Khan's Dabangg 2, Sohail Khan's Sher Khan, and Shirish Kunder's Kick, are all heavy on action.
"Even a slight misjudged punch on the face could trigger off his condition and cause acute pain," a close friend of the actor told Mumbai Mirror.
"The filmmakers of Salman's upcoming ventures as well as his family have jointly decided to keep him "out of danger as much as possible," says the friend.
The makers of all three films - Arbaaz, Sohail and Sajid Nadiadwala have hired the best stunt directors and body doubles from Los Angeles and Hong Kong.
A body-double of Salman sustained minor injuries to his hands in an accident during the shooting of Dabangg-2 at Mehboob Studio in Bandra on Saturday, June 23. After the accident Salman has been, reportedly, adamant on doing the action scenes himself hereafter.
"Arbaaz is trying hard to convince him to stay away from the sets when the action sequences are performed," says the source.
The 46-year-old actor recently got treatment for trigeminal neuralgia, a facial nerve disorder that causes a shock-like pain to the forehead, cheek and jaw. He underwent gamma knife surgery in the US.
He revealed during a recent interview that he has now developed a 3.5 mm aneurysm (ballooning of an artery) in his brain and AVM malfunction (an abnormal connection between arteries and veins). The aneurysm is close to his brain so it can not be operated on, as it can cause him to slip into a coma. But all this did not stop him from doing the action scenes in Kabir Khan's Ek Tha Tiger.
"I'm not supposed to bend, do somersaults or undergo fluctuations in blood pressure. I'm not supposed to exert to the extent that I start panting. Above all, I'm not supposed to indulge in any action where my head is lower than my body. But, I am doing stuff that I'm not supposed to and that's the story of my life," Salman told Filmfare.
Hopefully Salman takes it easy now, for his fans' sake if not for himself.
