The 34-year-old bongshell made a rare public appearance wearing a summer chic number from the 2005 collection of the designer.
The sari featured rows of floral embroidery and shimmering golden scalloped lace on edges. She paired it with a pink short sleeve blouse accented with golden lace on scoop neckline and sleeves.
She accessorized with white peeptoe sandals, a golden clutch and traditional gold jewelry - dangler earrings, dholki necklace and cuff and bangles.
Her side swept long hair was left down.
She rounded her sultry look with kohl rimmed eyes, a red bindi and pink lipgloss.
Rani is one of the few Bollywood actresses who continues to delight us with her old world styling, her tresses for example. She hasn't given in to the temptation of coloring her hair, or cutting them short.
Rani and Esha featured together in Yuva (2004). Rani and Hema were seen together in Babul (2006).
On an aside, Deepika Padukone walked the runway as Anuradha Vakil's showstopper wearing the same sari when it was first unveiled during the Lakme India Fashion Show in 2005.
