| 'Rock On 2' |
Abhishek Kapoor will return with a sequel to his 2008 critically acclaimed film 'Rock On,' retaining the same cast: Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Luke Kenny and Purab Kohli.
"We are working on the script of 'Rock On 2' right now. It will have the same team with some new characters coming in. I am happy and excited about it, hopefully by next year it will go on floors," Kapoor told PTI.
Rock On was a rock musical film produced by Farhan Akhtar, who also debuted as an actor and singer in the film.
It is a story of four members of the Mumbai-based grunge rock band, "Magik" (formed in 1998) who reunite in 2008.
The sequel was announced back in March, when Farhan announced the Excel Entertainment line-up of upcoming films. It was then reported that Kapoor had completed the script and is working on its screenplay along with Pubali who wrote Rock On .
Farhan is currently busy filming for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. He will next start filming for Saket Choudhary's Shaadi Ke Side Effects (SKSE), a sequel to Saket's 2006 romcom Pyaar Ke Side Effects (PKSE). It features Vidya Balan as the female lead.
Abhishek is currently busy with Kai Po Che, a UTV production. The film is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel 'The 3 Mistakes of My Life.
