Some of the recent 100 Cr movie heroines came under the radar for their minuscule roles such as Asin, Sonakshi Sinha, and Kajal Aggarwal in Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore, and Singham respectively.
Asin says she has no qualms about playing such roles.
"Why should actresses be apologetic about being the glamour quotient? If my presence benefits the film and me, I will go ahead and do it," Asin told Deccan Herald.
An industry expert tells DC that these actresses, come at a much lower price, under a crore, which is far lower than the going rate of the likes of Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra or Deepika Padukone. This also helps lower the film's cost.
Asin, 26, justifies her new roles by saying she prefers working in movies which are fun and emotional entertainers.
"That's the kind of space I have chosen for myself in Hindi cinema and I have no intentions of diluting that. Bol Bachchan continues in that direction. It is a typical Rohit Shetty film which is entertainment, entertainment, and more of entertainment. Of course, there is a solid story running as well with ingredients like action, 'masala', music, and comedy thrown in for good measure," says Asin.
If uberglam roles are ok with Asin, then they're ok with us. :)
