First Look: Angelina Jolie in her starring role in Disney’s ‪Maleficent‬! Production on the film began Wednesday, June 13, with the future Mrs. Brad Pitt in the title role as the Sleeping Beauty villainess.

Maleficent, executive produced by Jolie, is also set to feature Elle Fanning, Sharlto Copley and Miranda Richardson. According to the studio, “the film reveals the events that hardened (Maleficent’s) heart and drove her to curse the baby, Aurora.”
