Priyanka Chopra says she is a huge fan of Amitabh Bachchan and jokes that only she should be entitled to act as feamle lead in remakes of his film; we are just relieved her sentiment sounds more platonic and innocuous than her past publicly voiced admiration of Shah Rukh Khan!
Having acted in Don and Agneepath, Priyanka is now filming for Apoorv Lakhia's remake of Zanjeer, which has Telgu star Ram Charan Teja stepping into Amitabh Bachchan's giant shoes as Inspector Vijay.
Quizzed about her hogging female lead roles in Bachchan remakes, Priyanka told the TOI, "I am a huge fan of Mr Bachchan. Only I will do all of Mr. Bachachan's remakes. Both Don and Agneepath have done so well, I have high hopes from Zanjeer too."
The 29-year-old actress is just back in the country after wrapping promotions of her recent release Teri Meri Kahaani opposite Shahid Kapoor.
While Zanjeer filming has been going on for a while now, Priyanka has yet to start shooting for her part.
Talking about her Zanjeer co-star Ram Charan, Priyanka says he is a friend and a "a hardworking guy." She missed attended his wedding on June 14 because she was touring across the country for TMK promotions.
The Zanjeer remake is being made simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu and both actors plan on mouth their own dialogs in the tow versions. They will help each other brush up their dialogs in the two languages. Priyanka will help Ram Charan with his Hindi and he will help her with her Telugu.
