Imagine if Alien were set in the Antarctic and starred a giant snake. If you think that sounds good, you should now imagine that it was made with 1% of the talent, intelligence and budget. New Alcatraz (or Boa, as it was released on DVD) is also notable for being set in a subterranean maximum-security US government prison. Why on Earth would they invest the money in creating something like that? (You’d at least think they’d have noticed the giant prehistoric boa constrictor trapped under the ice).
