This 1996 version of
Flipper totally fails to showcase the talent of actors like pre-Frodo Elijah Wood and post-Crocodile Dundee Paul Hogan. At least the original was somewhat grounded in reality; this version shoehorns in a toxic waste sub-plot, an evil hammerhead shark and all sorts of other classic Disney-style foolishness. This is one remake where they couldn’t re-make it good.
