Salman Khan called off Dabangg 2 filming over the weekend to review safety measures, following the injury on set to three crewman in an accident during filming of an action sequence at Mehboob Studio, Bandra, on Saturday, June 23.
A source tells HT, "Only once all the safety measures are in place and he [Salman] is completely satisfied with them, will we begin shooting again," a source told HT.
Following the mishap on Saturday, Salman had quickly moved the injured to a city hospital in his own vehicle, after administering first aid. He did not leave the hospital till he was satisfied that the crewmen were in safe hands.
Salman has taken on himself the medical expenses and has promised to pay compensation to each inured crewman.
"He came back to give us strict orders that, no matter how long it takes, all safety measures needed to be double-checked and he wouldn't shoot until things were taken care of," the HT source added.
Dabanngg 2 director and producer, Salman Khan's brother Arbaaz Khan, said the shoot will resume Monday, June 25.
"In spite of taking all precautionary measures, accidents do happen. Luckily, nothing major happened. The injuries are minor. The guys were immediately given first aid and rushed to the hospital. We're doing everything to the best of our abilities to ensure that they are fine. I personally met the doctors, so the tension has eased."
"Salman and I have decided to resume the shoot once we sort out and fix a few things. Inshallah, we'll start work from today."
