Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan will be celebrity guests at a fundraiser dinner in Leicester, UK, for a diabetes awareness charity.
Aishwarya and Abhishek last posed together for the media in the photo above, the day the couple brought their new born, Aradhya, home in November 2011.
The Leicester-based charity, Silver Star, was founded by Britain's longest serving MP of Indian origin, Keith Vaz, who is a type 2 diabetes patient himself.
Amitabh Bachchan has been associated with the charity since long and has made considerable monetary contributions to the cause. He had attended the gala dinner in 2009 along with Shilpa Shetty and Sanjay Dutt; that was the year Mumbai got its first mobile diabetes unit, presented to Big B by the then Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
The 2012 gala dinner will mark the 25th anniversary (June 11) of Vaz as MP in the British Govt.
"I am very excited to be hosting Bollywood's power couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan for such a special occasion. I am delighted that the Bachchan family are part of such a worthwhile cause," Vaz told PTI.
The funds raised from the charity dinner will be used for the fourth mobile diabetes unit in Mumbai and will be named Amitabh like all previous purple buses of the charity. It will be handed over to Big B on his 70th birthday October 11 this year.
Guests at the dinner will be entertained with music by Raghu Dixit and Preeya Kaalidas. Speaker of the House of Commons, Rt Hon John Bercow MP will deliver the keynote speech.
